Review: Melrose Hotel’s Jardenea

The chic and clean Melrose Hotel in DC’s West End/Georgetown area is posh, sharp, and stylish. They have a great lobby bar, and a subtle, dimly lit restaurant, Jardenea, with an updated menu churning out awesome new dishes. From start to finish, we love the new menu.

Below are some highlights.

Start with a delicious cocktail from their menu. This rum based cocktail was light and refreshing!

Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras is smooth and rich. The pistachio pancakes are a nice touch!

Sadly this image is blurry, but get their soft shell crabs while you still can!

Some of the best, perfectly seared scallops in DC – delicious!

The citrus brined Duroc bone-in pork chop is divine! We asked for a hard sear and it was perfect.

The other side of this beauty! Duroc pork is some of the best in the world!

We didn’t save room for dessert, so share your pics with us!
