This year’s 13th annual MetroCooking DC event was a huge success.
MetroCooking is the perfect event for any kind of foodie – whether you are a chef, food entrepreneur, home cook, foodie or just like food, this event is the place to be.
MetroCooking DC is the best destination to discover new products, sample delicious foods, taste new wines and beers, and even catch live demos from celebrity chefs like Emeril Lagasse, Jacques Pepin and Carla Hall.
The event is huge! There are aisles and aisles of over 100 food vendors sampling products from cheese bites, meats, sweets and treats to specialty drinks of lemonades and kombuchas to cooking supplies you didn’t even know you needed. Walking through the vendors booths you can discover new brands, see whats new to the market and fill up your belly!
It truly is DC’s premier culinary and entertaining extravaganza. Not only are there vendors, but there are also live cooking demos by local James Beard honored chefs, Sur La Table cooking classes, book signings, and guest speakers.
The absolute best part (and worth the extra price) was the Grand Tasting and Beer, Wine and Spirits Garden. In this ticketed space you get to enjoy local restaurants and makers. Many DMV based restaurants are sampling delicious bites, and in the garden you can try sips of rum, whiskey, wine and lots of beer.
