There are a lot of options these days for grab-and-go meals . From do-it-yourself portioned meals, to heat and serve, there are many ways to skip grocery store lines, and avoid cooking in general. However, HoneyFlower Foods serves meals in a sustainable way all ready-to-eat so you can keep your living space cool during these dog days of summer.
Found at local markets in the DMV area, or available via delviery, the meals are great tasting scalably sustainable grab and go portions. HoneyFlower Foods makes healthy, easy and delicious food using only ingredients that are efficient and sustainable.
HoneyFlower Foods is a forward thinking food company making super tasty grab and go meals. They make the food from a local shared kitchen, and put lots of thought into the ingredients. Creating dishes around minimal or 0 waste, and using only scalably sustainable ingredients that require less land and water usage, you can feel good about purchasing your ready-to-eat meals.
All of the meals are plant-based, and chock full of nutritiously dense components.
Two of my favorite meals are the Soba Noodle Salad, and the Potato Cauliflower Curry.
The cold soba noodles are accompanied by chickpea miso mushrooms, seaweed broccolette salad, dashi vinaigrette, and fermented chili. It’s filled with umami punch, fresh crunch, and funky spice – a real trip to Flavortown.
The curry features roasted cauliflower and potatoes simmered in a coconut turmeric curry, with pickled onion salad, seeded chip cracker, and nettle hari chutney. The perfect dish to make you feel like you’re at a backyard barbecue with a secret – FLAVOR.
All of the meals are big enough for two and leave you feeling satisfied without being stuffed.
