Fall Harvest @ Boqueria

Boqueria is taking on the fall season with new seasonal dishes, created to celebrate the flavors and ingredients of autumn. We stopped in recently to sample some of them, along with a few of the classics as well.

Sidra Sangria

We started off with Jamon Serrano, freshly carved from the leg, served with olives, peppers and crostini. To sip, we sampled the Sidra Sangria, a festive take on sangria made with white wine, Basque cider, whiskey and apples, as well as a non-alcoholic cider that was equally tasty.

Next up were some of the classics: Patatas Bravas, Croquetas, and Pan con Tomate. Patatas were perfectly crispy, and the combination of the slightly spicy salsa with the garlic aioli is wonderful; the croquetas were creamy, mushroom-y, and addicting; and can’t forget the pan con tomate – tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and salt smeared on a piece of toast is a simple but delicious bite.

For the fall offerings, we tried the Roasted Delicata Squash, served with Spanish sausage, hazelnuts, Mahon cheese & honey, as well as the Radicchio Salad, which included pears, toasted Marcona almonds, and Mahon cheese, tossed in a sherry vinaigrette. I’d definitely order both plates again.

Be sure to head over to Boqueria for dinner, unlimited brunch, or daily happy hour soon!
