A Recap of Chef’s Best DC

A Recap of Chef’s Best DC

Chef’s Best raises critically needed funds to support Food & Friends. Founded in 1988, Food & Friends began in the basement of the Westminster Presbyterian Church with 20 volunteers enlisted to deliver 15 meals/day serving a total of 1,800 meals to 60 clients. Today, the organization delievers home-delivered meals and provides nutrition counseling to adults, children and families living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

The event this year was chaired by Chef Ari Gejdenson (Mindful Restaurants Group) and provided bites from Acqua Al 2, Supra, Brothers and Sisters, Himitsu, Momofuku CCDC, Toki Underground, Iron Gate, China Chilcano, Maketto, The Bird, The Source, and many more!

Check out some of the best bites from the other night:

The Bird: Crispy potato nest, fried quail egg, cripsy duck prosciutto, goat cheese
All Set: Meatloaf & purple mashed potatoes
Momofuku: Smoked Beef Carpaccio
Iron Gate: Chilled seasonal pea soup
