West Elm recently opened their 14th Street NW location and business has been great. With a lack of retail that’s not food related on 14th Street, residents and visitors alike have been flocking to this well known store. West Elm has done a great job lately by adopting a business model that is unique to large brands, that involves direct community engagement. The store made this a focal point at the opening by using local farm-to-table restaurant, Table, as their caterer. Whether it’s open house events with food and beverages, or offering free wi-fi to promote it as a gathering location, and a store, this strategy is perfect for the popular 14th Street corridor.
Oh yeah, and like every West Elm, the products are gorgeous. The store is perfectly decorated a features several entire sections devoted to promoting local brands and unique specialty items. The holiday season makes for an especially enjoyable shopping experience as the store is decked out in all of their Christmas and holiday themed decor.
Here’s a look inside the newly opened West Elm and their fabulous holiday decorations.
