Triple Craft is new, trendy, affordable and delicious. It is a modernized burger joint featuring local art, live music, and rotating beer taps.
We came for the food but the views are incredible! You can sit on the large deck and enjoy a burger, local craft beer, & a crazy shake all while overlooking the Potomac with D.C.’s picturesque skyline featuring the Washington monument and the Capitol building. This is a perfect place to take out of town guests as well as a local hang out. During our first visit, we planned out at least five additional occasions of when we will be coming back and who we’re going to bring. (Yes, mom & dad that means we’re coming here after I pick you up from the airport on Friday)
The menu consists of a build your own burger section, special craft burgers, salads, sides, craft shakes, spiked craft shakes, simple shakes, and beverages. After speaking with the manager he informed us that he would like to have a burger of the week deal as well as regularly switching out the beer options with some of the DMV’s best brews. We love this idea!
Below are some of the menu selections.

Pictured above is the farmhouse burger. This burger was one of our favorites, because an egg on a burger is always a good idea. I have to say, my personal favorite was the Santa Fe Burger. I am all about a spicy kick. The combination of their special sauce, jalapeños, and homemade pico was euphoric. They seriously got it right with every single signature masterpiece- believe me, we know, we tried them all. Due to this being a special event, the burgers were slider-sized, which will not be the way they are served regularly. I must say, I think this little flight of burgers is a great idea to add to the menu though! The full presentation is captured in the photo below.
Crazy Shakes seem to be one of the newest dessert trends hitting the East Coast. Believe me, I’m not mad about this. In fact, I’m ecstatic, thrilled, overjoyed, elated, jubilant, on cloud nine, in seventh heaven, jumping for joy over this new craze! I started my crazy shake tour at Black Tap in NYC (to be featured in a post to come) where my inner 10-year-old self was in awe. Now, I can not believe I can drive just up the street to satisfy my crazy craving. Actually, the dietitian in me was calculating how many calories I would burn if I ran or biked along the Mt. Vernon Trial that conveniently leads right up to Triple Craft. It’s all about balance, right? 😉
