The Source is launching a family-style lamb dinner on Friday, April 20, and it’s as filling as it is affordable.
RAMMY Rising Star nominee Chef Russell Smith (who took over his duties in Spring 2017) has crafted a shareable dinner designed for two which, including food, drink, tax, and gratuity runs $100.
The dinner starts with a scallion flower roll amuse, which are amazing. Light and full of flavor. Three or four of these could go down fast and could easily ruin your appetite. But don’t let that happen.
After the rolls comes the soy lacquered lamb shank which is served with a cilantro mint vinaigrette, lamb sausage and spring pea fried rice, and a vegetable side of sweet and sour eggplant. This was the show stopper. Rich, tender, and delicious, the shank is perfect to split between two.
Lastly came house-made Shaoxing ice cream served with strawberries and mint. More savory than sweet, it complemented the lamb and served as a perfect end to the meal. A must-try dish.
Also of note, guests get one selection of a house wine: either a glass of Wolfgang Puck Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon or a 3 Stars Peppercorn Saison or Atlas “District Commons” Lager – the latter of which is a draft option, which will rotate.
In a town where dinner for two can easily run north of $100, The Source offers a great (and delicious) meal. So don’t wait. You want this lamb shank. Go to The Source.
