Shake Shack is Fa-La-La-Flavorful this Season!

Just when Washingtonians (and the world) thought Shake Shack couldn’t get any better, this dynamo chain does the impossible – it gets even more delicious in December.

Our team took on last week’s #ShackMeetup at Union Station for a sneak peak of this year’s mistletotally scrumptious treats. Check out what Natasha, DC ‘Wich Hunt (AKA Clare) and I love about holidays at the Shack.

Very Limited Time Only – The Hanuconcrete

Hanukkah

Natasha: Of all the samplings, the Hanuconcrete was by far my fave. It’s available during Channukah, December 6-14, so you have eight days to snap it up! I’m not Jewish, but that didn’t stop this strawberry puree, vanilla custard, and glazed doughnut ensemble from lighting my eyes like a menorah. The thick puree and custard were a nice contrast to the fluffy glazed Astro Dougnut, giving it that extra “oomph” to stand out. Cool tidbit I learned during the #ShackMeetup: Shake Shack sources from local producers, so Astro Donuts is a big partner for the Union Station Shack site. Yet another reason to go!

Available through January 3 – Gingerbread, Chocolate Peppermint and Christmas Cookie

Milkshakes

China: Shake Shack’s holiday shakes bring tidings of great joy. The Christmas Cookie was my absolute favorite – sugar cookie frozen custard topped with whipped cream and red and green sprinkles. The gingerbread, however, is a veryclose second – gingerbread spiced frozen custard topped with whipped cream and cinnamon cookie crumble. Cookie-crazed Washingtonians will be Claus-level jolly when they get a taste of these.

Chocolate

As for the chocolate lover? The Chocolate Peppermint is a must. Chocolate frozen custard blended with peppermint and topped with whipped cream and crumbled chocolate covered candy canes. Talk about jingle bell choc.

Available All Winter Long – Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and Stumptown Coffee’s Winter Cheer Cold Brew

China: If you procrastinate your holiday eats like your present wrapping, you may miss out on the special shakes. No need to get all bah-humbuggy on us though, because the Shack has other terrific treats that will fill your mouth with fa-la-la-flavor all winter long.

WinterCheer

Stumptown Coffee’s Winter Cheer is a perfect way to perk up in the morning. To bring coffee-lovers a cup full of cozy, they spiced up their creamy Cold Brew with cinnamon, allspice and cloves. I agree with them – it’s like a swim in a snowglobe!

When you need some warmth on a chilly winter night, it’s time to order Shake Shack’s Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. Their mixture of bittersweet dark chocolates, caramel sauce, sea salt and fresh milk, topped with whipped cream is perfectly frothy when you’re feeling frosty. I had two cups!

Available Always, But They’re So Good We Couldn’t NOT Take Pictures

As if Shake Shack’s #ShakeMeetup wasn’t generous enough, the lovely ladies at Union Station brought us a barrage of burgers. When they brought out the gloriously packed trays, DC ‘Wich Hunt, our sammy superstar, was in her element. Check out this awesome shot of her in action.
