Every Saturday in October from 1pm-4pm, Radiator is offering all the beers, brats, and beer cheese your heart desires. The Bavarian scene boasts traditional German polka music and pours of Spaten, the official beer of Oktoberfest, straight to your glass from Munich.
To keep you occupied while sipping your limited-edition keepsake stein, Executive Chef Jonathan Dearden is serving up pretzels with beer cheese, bratwurst, schnitzel, and potato pancakes. YUM.
I love drinking, but let’s talk about the food….
Three words for you to remember on your visit: German potato salad. It was absolutely amazing. The potatoes are boiled to the perfect consistency and are topped off with bacon. Unlike traditional American potato salad which is served cold, this guy is served up warm and makes the perfect side dish (order several for a group because you’ll eat this way faster than you’d imagine).
My dining partner spent some time in Germany and naturally has quite the affinity for German food. Upon biting into the schnitzel, he was blown away. It’s perfectly fried and is served atop some apple sauce for a nice sweet and savory combination. Do not miss this dish.
I’m so happy beer cheese exists. The pretzel was good, but for me it’s really just a mechanism to deliver more beer cheese into my mouth. Like Demi says, sorry I’m not sorry.
Last but certainly not least, we obviously tried the bratwurst. The brat is presented beautifully and smelled so good, that I dug in right away. When you’re drinking steins and steins of Spaten, you need your protein and this hit the spot perfectly.
You have three Saturdays left to get in on the fun (10/14, 10/21, and 10/28), don’t miss out!
