Centrally located just off K Street, a major metro line, and between Foggy Bottom/Georgetown and Downtown DC is Dupont Circle. Home to many bars, restaurants, one adult establishment, and lots of other shops – it’s easy to get lost trying to navigate the many happy hours and specials after work.
So don’t. Who said a good happy hour had to be after work anyway? In DC, most happy hours are from 4-7pm M-F. Who is leaving work between 4-7pm?!? I want that job…
Enter the all day Happy Hour from Daily Grill. That’s right – from 11:00am-7:00pm every Saturday, and ALL DAY SUNDAY; the Dupont Circle and Georgetown locations provides amazing drink specials, delicious bites, and a corner lot with floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the bar so you can watch (and judge) the masses who are not as smart as you to have found this gem.
Offering $5 well drinks, $6 specialty cocktails (recommend the Vitamin C – have them add bitters), $8 “build-your-own” martinis, $4 glasses of wine, and $3-$5 appetizers, how can you go wrong? And, they make their own mixers and juices in house. This little advertised fact is huge. Fresh squeezed lemons, limes, and oranges, freshly grated ginger, house-made simple syrup and grenadine – these things are what makes any bar worth their salt.
For food, I recommend the margarita flat bread pizza, served on a large cutting board. Thin, crispy crust, fresh toppings, and perfect to share.
Also try the wings. Coming 5 to an order, they are naked (meaning no nasty breading) and fried to a perfect crisp while being juicy and tender on the inside. Served with three sauces (hot sauce, blue cheese, and BBQ), you can dip and coat to your liking – while keeping your fingers dry.
For a lighter bite, try the Ahi tuna sashimi. Very fresh, high quality tuna, coated in sesame seeds which provide a nutty flavor and great contrasting texture, paired with traditional condiments.
Everything on the appetizer menu is good and affordable – except the truffle fries because truffle oil tastes like Satan’s tears.

I have to admit, I more than likely spent about three hours on your site. Absolutely worth the time, however.
