Are you ready for a Meowy Christmas? Happy pawlidays? Well I know the purrfect place to celebrate this season. I’m not kitten around!

In all seriousness, I will try not to bog you down with cat puns, but I want to let you know about Crumbs & Whiskers, DC’s first and only cat cafe! Simply put, Crumbs & Whiskers is incredible. The cafe’s mission is as follows: “We partner with rescues who save cats at risk of euthanasia in high kill shelters and cats facing homelessness on the streets, and house them in our cafes. Once they are at our cafes, we care for our cats and work to get them adopted until they find their homes. As our cats are adopted, our partners bring us more cats who are rescued from risk of euthanasia. One day, we hope to be a part of the reason why no cats are euthanized simply due to a lack of space in animal shelters.”

Guests are able to hang out with the cats, sip on coffee or tea, and maybe decide to adopt. I recently visited, and it took everything in me to not adopt every cat there. All in all, it was a relaxing experience, and for a wonderful cause. It’s a win-win situation!
