MXDC Cocina Mexicana, Celebrity Chef Todd English’s restaurant in downtown DC, is offering up several specials throughout the weekend to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Starting on Friday, May 3, at 11:30am, MXDC will have seven house-made margaritas, priced to celebrate at $7 each and available all weekend. Patron shooters and Patron XO will also be available for $7 each, all weekend long. HungryLobbyist also got the chance to try some new items coming to the menu (like the awesome pastrami tacos pictured below). I also highly recommend taking your guac ordering game up a notch with the lobster and corn guacamole.
Special margaritas will include:
- Guava, Watermelon, and Passion Fruit Margaritas
- Margarita de Piña (with Milagro blanco tequila, fresh lime, house-made roasted pineapple syrup and MXDC cordial)
- Mango Margarita (with Milagro blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, mango and lime)
- Blackberry Cilantro Margarita (with Milagro blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, house blackberry-cilantro syrup and lime)
- Habanero Margarita (with Milagro blanco tequila, MXDC cordial, habanero, agave and lime)
Specials for Saturday, May 4
On May 4, guests at MXDC can enjoy bottomless mimosas ($15 per person) and/or bottomless sangria ($17 per person) as well. Bottomless mimosas and sangria will be available form 11am – 3pm.
Specials for Sunday, May 5
To wrap up the weekend celebrations, MXDC will serve an assortment of tacos (two per order) and appetizers, priced at $7 each. This will include:
- Carne Asada tacos (soy-ginger marinade, pico de gallo, pickled red onion and avocado)
- Coliflor tacos (chickpea, turmeric butter, tzatziki and pickled onions, served on a house-made corn tortilla)
- Mahi Mahi tacos (Baja beer batter, grilled pineapple chutney and chipotle aioli)
- Rockfish Aguachile Ceviche (with cucumber, chile pequin, red onion and lime)
- Guacamole Traditicional (!!!)
- Kabra Quesadilla (with goat cheese, Cotija, arugula and smoked chile aioli)
