A Captiol Hill staple, well-known steakhouse Charlie Palmer has a new executive chef who is bringing local flavors and dishes to the menu.
Executive Chef, Michael Ellis is returning to Washington DC after a tenure out West, and so he is celebrating his return with a 7-week program in which he focuses his menus on a different neighboring region around DC each week, celebrating the farmers and producers from that region.
We’ll give you the full homecoming schedule at the end, with weekly menu previews, but first we got to sample some new, and classic dishes from Chef Ellis (let’s face it, that’s why you’re really here right?). Everything was amazing, and make sure to save room for dessert!
Full yet?!
Don’t take our word for it. Check out the schedule below for Chef Ellis’ homecoming menus featuring local vendors. This is a great trend for such a large and popular steakhouse family and fantastic they allow the Chef the flexibility and the creative license to do this.
