About The Gibson
The unmarked door at 2009 14th Street NW houses Washington D.C.’s preeminent cocktail-focused speakeasy bar. In addition to the main bar, upstairs bar and back patio, there are two lounge-like private rooms known as Apartments One and Two. All are designed to allow an intimate experience with Washington’s most knowledgeable bartenders as if they’re curating a cocktail regimen just for you. The music playlist, created by Thievery Corporation’s Eric Hilton, adds the perfect touch of cool innuendos. The embossed leather bar, and dimly lit space evoke glamor, romance, danger, and ease all at once. Reservations are preferred; a firm no standing rule applies.
