Meet Eatsa & Barre3

The only thing I love as much as food is fitness. In some ways this shouldn’t be a surprise since without exercising, all the wine and cheese I consume would start to show.

That’s why I was so excited to be invited to the Eatsa x Barre3 pop up at Eatsa’s K street location. It was the perfect combo of food and fitness.

We started the evening working up a sweat with a 30 minute barre class courtesy of Barre3.

Barre3 is a full-body workout which uses low-impact movements. But don’t be fooled…after just 30 minutes of exercise, the whole room was sweating.

You know the best part of working out? Getting to eat after.

Eatsa is a fast casual restaurant chain based in San Francisco but now has 2 D.C. locations (K Street and Pennsylvania Ave). Eatsa serves up bowls of quinoa and salads using an automat-style self-serve ordering process.

So how does it actually work?

Step 1: Order your meal at the kiosk.

Step 2: Look for your name on the big board. When your meal is ready, it will give you a cubby number to pick it up from.

Step 3: Go to your cubby. It will say your name on it (super cool!). Tap twice and voila, the cubby opens and your delicious food is waiting for you inside.

Step 4: EAT!

No Worry Curry Bowl with Stir Fried Quinoa with Egg, Arugula, Roasted Potatoes, Spaghetti Squash, Pickled Onions, Red Thai Curry, Apple-Cabbage Slaw, Curried Wonton Strips
Burrito Bowl with Guacamole, Salsa Fresca, Queso Mexicano, Asada Portabello, Grilled Corn, Warm Lemon-Herb Toasted Quinoa, Tortilla Chips, Seasoned Pinto Beans

So what are you waiting for? Next time you’re dead from maintaining that summer bod and don’t feel like cooking, stop by Eatsa for some healthy post-workout fuel.
