In an epic moment of awesomeness and victory for food/consumer freedom, NY Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling today #PWNed Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s attempt to restrict sugary beverage consumption, aka “large soda ban.”
Judge Tingling noted in his ruling,
“[The City is] permanently restrained from implementing or enforcing the new regulations” and the regulations are “fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences.”
That just gave me an epic tingling; and no, not the diabetic kind in my toes either.
Consumer Freedom – 1; Mayor Bloomberg’s assault on freedom and responsibility – 0
