Get Ready to Rock the Block

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), whose mission is to keep children safer in the real-world and online, will host its 2nd Annual Rock the Block event taking place on Thursday, November 7 throughout Old Town Alexandria. 

Old Town’s hottest restaurants will close their doors to the public for this signature event, serving up their favorite dishes and specialty cocktails. Based on the Dine N Dash model, guests will receive a wristband and a map and set off on their own culinary tour by selecting their starting restaurant from the participating restaurants.

The 12 restaurants participating in the event include Augie’s Mussel House, Urbano116, The MajesticVermilionWhiskey & OysterColumbia FirehouseJoe Theismann’s Restaurant and BarMia’s Italian KitchenPizzeria ParadisoTequila & Taco and a culinary pop-up at the Charles Schwab headquarters with Sweet Fire Donna’s Barbecue and Alexandria’s own cidery Lost Boy Cider. Special guest appearances by local celebrity chefs and restaurant owners Spike Mendelson (Good Stuff Eatery, Vim & Victor, We The Pizza, PLNT Burger, The Morris, Santa Rosa Taqueria) and Victor Albisu (Taco Bamba and Poca Madre).

General admission tickets include all the drinks and dishes your heart desires from 6pm-9pm and are $125. VIP Tickets include an additional session that kicks off at 5:30pm and an after party starting at 9pm. The after party will be held at Urbano 116 and will include special guests, dessert, signature cocktails, dancing, and music.
