Blue Duck Tavern’s Fire Garden is Your New Favorite Hygge Spot

Hygge: A feeling of cozy contentment and happiness.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy delicious food and warm cocktails while cozying up under a blanket next to a fire, look no further. Blue Duck Tavern has converted their outdoor patio into a cozy winter garden to set your Hygge feelings to new levels.

The newly created outdoor oasis is reflective of a sunken garden complete with a spilling foundation.  This Zen-like space is perfect for unwinding with family and friends or a romantic date night. There is nothing more Hygge than being outside in the cold but under warm blankets and feeling the heat of the fire.

Try delicious bites from Bavarian Pretzels with herb butter rub with melted raclette, Chocolate Fondue, BDT Fries with spicy aioli to the Maryland Crab Roll with sunchokes and Short Rib Tartine.  Dishes are priced from $14 to $26 each.

To stay warm while indulging in these delicious bites Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. Lead Bartender Cole Burger has put together handcrafted winter cocktails showcasing a variety of herbs and fruits, spices, and house-made infusions.  Each drink incorporates at least one ingredient or garnish that was sourced directly from hotel’s rooftop garden. They are truly delicious and will keep you warm and cozy.

The Fire Garden is open Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (weather permitting).  Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.  So get there first!
